Bitcoin Fee Tracker
Check the current priority Bitcoin fee before you send a transaction.
What this means
Bitcoin fees are priced in satoshis per virtual byte. The right rate depends on mempool demand and how quickly you want confirmation.
Practical use
- Compare urgency before broadcasting a payment.
- Avoid overpaying when the mempool is quiet.
- Recognize when a non-urgent transaction can wait.
How it is calculated
The priority, half-hour and economy estimates come from mempool.space and are cached server-side every five minutes.
A stale label means the last successful value is being shown. Unavailable values are never replaced with zero.
Frequently asked questions
What is sat/vB?
It is the number of satoshis paid for each virtual byte of transaction data.
Does a higher fee guarantee confirmation?
No. It improves priority, but block space demand can change after broadcast.
Does this show my exact transaction fee?
No. The total also depends on transaction size. This page provides a current fee rate.
